Sami Zayn Returns On SmackDown, Declares Himself The Rightful IC Champion

Zayn was stripped of the Intercontinental Championship that he won from Braun Strowman and successfully defended against Daniel Bryan earlier this year after he chose not to wrestle during the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak. However, the former champ is back on SmackDown and came out with his belt declaring he was the rightful champion rather than Jeff Hardy.

After the surprise appearance, Zayn would then kick Hardy to knock him silly. Zayn call the current champion a fraud several times. It looks like Hardy has multiple challengers for his belt including AJ Styles and Zayn wants the belt that he never lost back.
