Former WWE talent, Samantha Irvin, has chosen to step away from the world famous wrestling franchise to pursue her passion outside the ring: her music career and various other projects. It should be clarified that she hasn’t transitioned to the rival organization, AEW.
The news of Irvin calling it quits with WWE amid the hullabaloo of this week’s Monday Night RAW caught the professional wrestling world by surprise. Her departure was not predicted beforehand.
With the finalization of her exit from WWE, concerns regarding the usage of her name have also been addressed.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has retained the rights to the name “Samantha Irvin”.
Due to this action, she will no longer be able to use “Samantha Irvin” as her stage name and will need to revert to her birth name, Samantha Johnson for future endeavors.
