Following the WWE Bad Blood 2024 Hell In A Cell match, Ryback brought attention to the injury Drew McIntyre faced, an incident that was linked to wrestling superstar CM Punk.
During the high-octane match, McIntyre had to receive sixteen stitches as a result of a real-life head wound. The injury occurred when he was struck with a toolbox, a move delivered by Punk.
Despite their tumultuous past, Ryback chose to voice his criticism towards the wrestling icon, Punk, on Twitter indirectly.
Ryback took to his Twitter platform and expressed, ““I’ve never done this or anything close to this to any of my opponents. I would say whoever did this to him is beyond reckless and very dangerous to work with.”
The two professional wrestlers, Punk and Ryback, share a history of animosity. A significant part of their feud took shape during Punk’s interview on the Colt Cabana’s podcast where Punk alleged that Ryback had caused injuries to him during their WWE saga.
Ryback’s indirect criticism underscores their ever-present antagonism. His tweet echoed his view on Twitter on October 6, 2024, and read as follows, “I’ve never done this or anything close to this to any of my opponents. I would say whoever did this to him is beyond reckless and very dangerous to work with.”
