Ryback has explained his decision to brand Vince McMahon’s 101-year-old mother a “wh*re” following her death in April 2022.
After Vicky Askew passed away, Ryback fired off a (since deleted) tweet about Vince McMahon and used some scathing language about the Chairman’s mother.
The comment drew condemnation from the wrestling community and by fans, and Ryback would apologize via a tweet in December 2022.
Speaking during a recent stream, Ryback said that Vicky Askew was “a sweet woman” when he met her and apologized again for his comment.
Explaining why he said what he said, Ryback explained that he was angry at WWE delaying the legal battle over the trademark to his name, which cost him a lot of money.
Ryback added that since WWE was hurting him financially he would “hurt you emotionally if that’s the game you’re gonna play.”
The former WWE Superstar acknowledged that “not everyone understands, and I’ve tried my best to explain that to you guys.”
Recently, Ryback has engaged in an online beef with Booker T after the two-time Hall of Famer cast doubt on Ryback teasing a return to the ring.
