RVD Expresses Displeasure with WWE Schedule, Rhea Ripley Explains Reason for Wearing Brace

Rob Van Dam says there’s nobody in WWE who hated the schedule more than him.

Taking to his “1 Of A Kind” podcast, the Whole F’n Show commented on the WWE schedule, believing that talent was overused, and more.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On the WWE schedule: “I seemed to hate it more than anyone else. And the other guys, even the ones that talked about it [and] acted like they hated it as much as me are still there. No offense, Booker T.”

On believing that talent was overused: “Why do I have to be on every Monday Raw, every Smackdown Tuesday, every pay-per-view? And now it sounds like, what a thing to complain about, because of course you want to be used, and you want to be over, and you want to work the most, make the most money and all that … but I did feel like, what if I was off one Monday or something? Would that kill what you’re doing with RVD?”

In recent weeks, Rhea Ripley has been wearing a brace on her wrist.

While speaking on Friday’s edition of “The Pat McAfee Show,” Ripley revealed why she’s been wearing the brace and why she probably won’t wear it at WrestleMania 40.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On the brace: “It’s an old thing. It’s been there for a couple of months and this is more so I don’t hurt myself more. The doctors, they know that I’m pretty irresponsible at times and I’m not gonna stop going to the gym and doing stupid things. So they’re like, ‘You are confined to a brace, my young girl, and you’re not allowed to take it off.’”

On if she’ll wear it at WrestleMania: “I probably won’t wrestle in it because I tried to wrestle and it at a live event and… It’s not practical at all.”

Rob Van Dam, a former professional wrestler, recently spoke out about his disdain for the WWE schedule. In an episode of his podcast, “1 Of A Kind,” Van Dam expressed his frustration with the demanding schedule and the overuse of talent in the company.

Van Dam claimed that he hated the WWE schedule more than anyone else. While some wrestlers may have complained about it, he believed that he was the one who truly despised it. He even jokingly mentioned Booker T, a fellow wrestler, saying that even though others may have talked about hating the schedule, they were still with the company.

One of Van Dam’s main concerns was the overuse of talent. He questioned why he had to appear on every Monday Raw, every Smackdown Tuesday, and every pay-per-view. While he acknowledged that being used and working frequently was important for success and financial gain, he wondered if taking a break would have a negative impact on his character development and storylines.

In a separate development, Rhea Ripley, another WWE wrestler, has been seen wearing a brace on her wrist in recent weeks. During an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Ripley explained the reason behind wearing the brace and why she probably won’t wear it at WrestleMania 40.

According to Ripley, the brace is a precautionary measure to prevent further injury. She admitted to being somewhat reckless at times and not wanting to stop her gym activities or engage in risky behavior. The doctors advised her to wear the brace to protect herself from worsening her condition.

However, Ripley mentioned that she likely won’t wear the brace during WrestleMania 40 because she had previously tried wrestling with it at a live event and found it impractical. The brace may hinder her performance and limit her ability to execute her moves effectively.

Both Van Dam and Ripley’s comments shed light on the challenges and concerns faced by WWE wrestlers. The demanding schedule and the need to balance physical health with performance expectations can be overwhelming. It is important for the company to consider the well-being of its talent and find a balance that allows them to thrive without sacrificing their health and creativity.
