Rumored Matches For The 2020 WWE Royal Rumble
The Wrestling Observer is reporting on new updates regarding rumored matches for the Royal Rumble next month in Houston, TX.
Firstly, the most solidified match for the Royal Rumble at this point that has not been made official appears to be Becky Lynch defending her RAW Women’s Title against Asuka. This match would be one year after Asuka defeated Lynch clean to capture the same championship.
Other matches rumored for the event include Shinsuke Nakamura taking on Braun Strowman in an Intercontinental Championship match. Bayley taking on Lacey Evans for the SmackDown Women’s Championship is also speculated for the event. These matches originally were written in for the TLC PPV but postponed.
The only 3 confirmed matches for the show so far include both the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches along with the Universal Championship match between The Fiend Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan. It should be noted that the Royal Rumble is typically one of the smallest cards of the year due to 60 superstars being needed for the rumble matches and them taking such a long amount of time.
