There has been speculation that Ronda Rousey may be considering a UFC return after she finished up with WWE after losing to Shayna Baszler in an MMA Rules Match at the WWE SummerSlam 2023 pay-per-view event.
Rousey hasn’t fought in MMA since losing to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 in December 2016.
The Daily Mail reports that a confidant of Rousey told them that she is “looking to wind down her time and commitments with WWE.” The same source stated she is now focusing on returning to MMA as Rousey wants to “compete at UFC 300 when that presents itself sometime next year.”
While recently speaking with Sports Illustrated, UFC President Dana White ruled out the possibility of Rousey returning at UFC. He said,
“There’s no shot. She’s accomplished everything she set out to do. Her dream was to win a UFC championship, then win a WWE championship, and she’s done it. Now she’s starting a family. Ronda has made so much money, and she’s still making a lot of money in sponsorships.”
