In a recent episode of “Ring the Belle” podcast, Ronda Rousey, the RAW Women’s Champion at the time of WWE Royal Rumble 2019, expressed her gratitude to Mercedes Mone for guiding her during the event. Describing her own uncertainties about undertaking the match, Rousey highlighted how she asked Mone to take complete control of the match.
Rousey said, “I essentially said to her, ‘I’m not familiar with what I am meant to do, lead this match! I’ll do anything you recommend!’ I even flew out to New York to meet with her and her pal, Red.”
In addition to the bout, Rousey emphasized on the impromptu moments that took place during and after the match which enhanced the differences between them.
Post their TNA Emergence pay-per-view event on Friday night, Zachary Wentz spoke about his victory in the Ultimate X match, securing the X-Division title in a “Digital Exclusive.” Wes Lee would be his next opponent in the upcoming Sunday night’s WWE NXT: No Mercy pay-per-view event.
Speaking on his achievement, Wentz said, “This is fabulous. This is wild. It’s a completely different scenario than two years ago. I even doubted if I would wrestle again. I made blunders in the past. But this is my chance at redemption. This victory shows that character and effort can lead to great accomplishments. I’ll be etching my name next to the legends who have held this title.”
In closing, Wentz stirred his fans and challengers saying, “This is the essence of the X-Division, and it’s not changing anytime soon.”
