Roman Reigns won the Universal Championship at Payback in August 2020 by dethroning The Fiend in a triple-threat match that included Braun Strowman and won the WWE Title to unify the championships as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion when beating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38.

He has already crossed 1,000 days as champion. The latest milestone is that he has reached 1,042 days as champion, making him the longest-reigning champion in WWE history since the creation of WrestleMania in 1985, a record that Hulk Hogan had.
