Roman Reigns Kept His Word, WrestleMania 37 Went Down ‘Just Like I Called It’
Roman Reigns makes a declarative statement on why he’s still WWE Universal Champion.
Reigns successfully defended his title against Edge and Daniel Bryan on Sunday night, pinning both men in the triple threat main event of WrestleMania 37’s second night. Although he benefitted from an assist from his ‘Right Hand Man’ Jey Uso, Reigns says it still went down exactly as he called it just days earlier.
“What did you think was going to happen? Y’all calling me a liar? I told y’all on Friday, I’m going to smash ‘em, I’m going to stack ‘em and pin ‘em, 1-2-3. I’m going to stand up and put this [title] over my head and let them look up to a greater man,” Reigns explained, “million dollars of pyro going ‘pow pow pow’—just like I called it, huh? And still.”
Reigns closed by saying now it’s time, with Paul Heyman explaining why it was his time before Roman looked at the camera and told everyone to acknowledge him.
