In a recent episode of WWE SmackDown, Roman Reigns and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes had a direct interaction on the Georgia Tech football field. Reigns, who in the past was a defensive tackle for Georgia Tech and honored as First-Team All-ACC, expressed gratitude to the coach of Georgia Tech, Brent Key.
Reigns posted a thank you message to Key on his Twitter account which read: “Thanks for the hospitality @CoachBrentKeyGT. Good to be back home. @GeorgiaTechFB”.
In addition, WWE star Muhammad Hassan expressed concern about his transition from WWE RAW to SmackDown in 2005 while being a guest on Maven’s YouTube channel. Hassan shared how his character was becoming edgier and he was worried about how moving that character to a network show could negatively affect it. He recollected, “Shawn [Daivari] and I were moved from RAW to SmackDown and I remember being vocal about it. I’ve said this before anything ever happened to Stephanie McMahon, that [SmackDown] was on network and [Raw] was on cable. I just felt like my character was getting more and more edgy and I remember expressing my concern that moving that character to a network show was ultimately going to be bad for the character. Either we got to tone it down or that character is not going to fly.”
