Roman Reigns is getting paid, he doesn’t need participation awards!
Reigns posted the following in response to a fan pointing out he didn’t win a Slammy during this year’s awards ceremony, noting that he’s still doing just fine:
When you’re are the highest paid/most decorated Superstar in the business. You don’t need participation awards.
Reigns was nominated in six categories for this year’s Slammy Awards, which aired on WWE social media this afternoon.

It’s worth noting that many of the categories Reigns was nominated for featured very tough competition, like the ‘Return Of The Year’ award won by Edge and ‘Superstar Of The Year’ won by WWE Champion Drew McIntyre. Despite going 0-for-6 this year, Reigns is still enjoying a very nice year. Not only is he WWE Universal Champion, but he also boasts an 8-1 record since returning in August, with that lone loss being a disqualification in a tag team match. Reigns’ record on the year stands at 28-2-1; he was 20-1-1 prior to his hiatus, with a no-contest tag match and coming up short in the 2020 Royal Rumble match being the main blemishes on his record.
