Former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been notably absent from the WWE screen since his loss to Cody Rhodes at the 40th WrestleMania event.
During this hiatus, Reigns suffered a family tragedy as his father, iconic wrestler Sika Anoa’i from the Wild Samoans, passed away at the ripe age of 79 on the 25th of June.
In his absence, Solo Sikoa ascended to the position of the Tribal Chief, while leading the new incarnation of the Bloodline faction, which also boasts Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, and Jacob Fatu as its members.
Post-WrestleMania 40, Sikoa emerged as the main figurehead of The Bloodline, thereby stirring up excitement for a potential, much-awaited face-off with Reigns.
However, WWE enthusiasts may not have to wait too long for Reigns’ re-entry into the TV sphere.
According to reports from Pwinsider, it’s anticipated that Reigns may make a comeback on or before WWE SummerSlam 2024. Furthermore, the SmackDown episode aired on July 12th, dropped hints about Reigns’ impending return.
The 2024 WWE SummerSlam event is scheduled for Saturday, August 3, and will take place at the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, OH.
