The bout was evenly matched, as both superstars matched each other every step of the way in the opening minutes. But Reigns took control by sending McIntyre into the ring post. “The Tribal Chief” dominated for a stretch, but McIntyre rallied with a flurry of offense. The champions later exchanged thunderous blows, and McIntyre got a near fall with a Future Shock.

Reigns countered a Claymore with a Superman Punch, but the WWE Champion fired back with a suplex. McIntyre countered a Spear into a Kimura Lock, but Reigns escaped. “The Tribal Chief” then drove McIntyre through the broadcast table and speared him through the barricade.
Back in the ring, McIntyre kicked out of a Spear. The WWE Champion hit a Claymore, but Reigns collided with the referee and knocked him out of the ring. Jey Uso ran to the ring and distracted McIntyre, and Reigns hit McIntyre below the belt. After a superkick from Uso and a Superman punch, McIntyre passed out in the Guillotine Choke, so Reigns won the match.
