ROH Round-Up: Survival Of The Fittest Heats Up, New Matches Announced For ROH Best In The World
It’s only Tuesday, but it’s already been an eventful week in the world of ROH. Heres’s everything you need to know about the promotion right now.
This past weekend on ROH Wrestling, Eli Isom defeated Dak Draper in a Survival of the Fittest qualifying match. Dalton Castle, in his continuing quest to add more excitement and drama to ROH programming, danced to ringside with his boys and closely watched the match. He arguably cost Draper the bout by his repeated attempts to instruct “The Mile High Magnum”,” and Castle’s exit from the arena proved to be the decisive distraction. It gave Isom enough breathing room to hit his finisher, The Promise, for the win.
In the main event, The Foundation (Rhett Titus and Tracy Williams) retained the ROH World Tag Team Championship in a Pure Rules Match against La Faccion Ingobernable (Kenny King and Dragon Lee.) LFI has been reinstated after their month-long suspension in May, but King and Lee failed to regain the titles they never lost. (La Bestia del Ring filled in for Lee at ROH 19th Anniversary, where Titus and Williams won the titles.) After the match, LFI fought The Foundation in another chaotic brawl, and Violence Unlimited simply watched the mayhem unfold from the stage. Clearly, this three-way battle for stable supremacy rages on.
For a full discussion of the show, please check out our weekly Recap of Honor podcast, which airs every Monday at 1 p.m. EST.
This weekend, this stable warfare will be in the spotlight once again on ROH Wrestling, as Tony Deppen (Violence Unlimited) will defend the ROH World Television Championship against Tracy Williams (The Foundation) and Dragon Lee (LFI.) Deppen defeated Williams to win the title, but “Hot Sauce” took the belt from Kenny King, who was substituting in for Lee, at ROH 19th Anniversary. This triple threat match could allow one of these factions to take the advantage in this heated battle.
Plus, Bandido will face Bateman of The Righteous in another Survival of the Fittest qualifying match.

ROH Women’s Division Wednesday is quickly becoming a staple of the weekly calendar; this past week, Sumie Sakai and Miranda Alize defeated face Mazzerati and Trish Adora. After the match, Max The Impaler attacked all four competitiors and seemingly joined forces with Amy Rose, who made her first appearance since LFI betrayed her at ROH 19th Anniversary.
Speaking of Rose, she delivered a heated message to LFI; she explained that she led the stable to its great heights, and she expressed her desire to get revenge. It’ll be interesting to see what “The Diamond Diva” has up her sleeve.

This week on ROH Women’s Division Wednesday, Rok-C will face Laynie Luck. The show airs every Wednesday at 7 p.m. EST on ROH’s official YouTube page.
The field for the ROH Women’s Title Tournament is becoming increasingly clear; Vita VonStarr of the Righteous has received a “Ticket to Gold”, so she’ll compete in the tournament. The updated list of particippants is as follows:
- VonStarr
- Allysin Kay
- Rok-C
- Miranda Alize
- Trish Adora
- Mazzerati
- Willow
Max’s impressie performances in two outings on ROH Women’s Division Wednesday make it easy to argue that they deserve a spot in the Women’s Title Tournament, but her harsh attack on the four participants this past week complicates the matter.
