In a recent episode of his podcast “1 Of A Kind,” retired wrestling icon and WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam chose his personal top ECW competitors for a hypothetical Mount Rushmore.

In case you missed it, you can find highlights from the podcast episode here:

During his discussion about the ECW athletes he would select to feature on his Mount Rushmore of opponents, Rob Van Dam listed Sabu, Taz, Sandman, and Tommy Dreamer. He qualified his selection by noting “Part of this equation involves my personal opposition, which is why I considered including Raven. But since my professional interactions with him were minimal, I’m leaning more towards Dreamer.”

Additionally, Van Dam discussed why he left Jerry Lynn out of his foremost four “If we were to consider honorable mentions, then surely I would rank myself and teams like The Gangsters or The Eliminators even before Jerry Lynn. They were consistently present and instrumental components of our organization. Jerry came into the fray late. Aside from some memorable bouts with me, I don’t believe he did enough to warrant Mount Rushmore inclusion… Understanding that there are countless deserving honorable mentions, if I were to limit my pick to four opponents I personally deemed worthy, those would be my choices. This is largely because I had an array of amazing matches with each of them, along with several other talented wrestlers.”
