In the latest episode of his “1 Of A Kind” podcast, renowned professional wrestler Rob Van Dam talked about being a part of the October 29th edition of WWE NXT show.
Moreover, RVD graced NXT at the 2300 Arena recently and played a significant role in Je’Von Evans triumphing over Wes Lee in the latter’s match.
Here are some major points discussed in the podcast:
Rob Van Dam’s NXT experience: “Although I had been there twice before, it was way back, exactly a decade ago. The backdrop seemed changed to an extent. They seemed to have reorganized a few things and had expanded their facilities, which I hadn’t noticed previously. Nonetheless, it felt great to be there. The warmth and respect showered by everyone, including the upcoming stars, was heartening.”
RVD also shared amusing anecdotes about his encounter with fellow WWE veterans like Bubba Ray Dudley, Shawn Michaels, Terry Taylor, and William Regal. Jokingly, he said, “One time, I sneaked up behind Dudley and his calf muscles nearly burst in my face. I had to message him about his gigantic calves, must have been the toe raises, I guess.”
Thoughts on NXT GM Ava: “Indeed, everyone was pretty warm and welcoming. Even though I was there as a special guest, the experience was about being myself. I met everyone, they all were awesome. Upon their introduction, like ‘Hi, I’m Veronica, nice to meet you,’ it was assured that everyone in the room, newcomers or veterans alike, were respectful.”
