On a recent edition of his “1 Of A Kind” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam conveyed his belief that a planned appearance at WrestleMania 40 weekend was canceled following his in-ring debut for AEW.
RVD made two appearances for AEW, which included a match against Jack Perry. He said,
“Maybe I’d show you if I was doing a WWE tour WrestleMania weekend, but I have good reason to believe that might be canceled because of a recent appearance I might have done, with permission, for a different company. Right now, I don’t feel like I can talk too much about that.”
Starrcast has announced that AEW star Swerve Strickland will be unable to attend the Starrcast VI convention this week in Chicago due to injuries he sustained in his Coffin match at AEW All In 2023. Strickland tweeted,
“Due to injuries sustained in his Coffin Match at #AEWAllIn, @swerveconfident will no longer be appearing at #Starrcast. All pre-sale Meet & Greets for Swerve Strickland will be refunded in a timely manner.”
