As a leading backstage figure in WWE, ‘Road Dogg’ Jesse James has seen plenty of matches this year and believes the Bloodline’s work stands above the rest.
After being released from WWE in early 2022, James was brought back to the company as the Senior Vice President of Live Events later that year, replacing Jeff Jarrett.
On the latest episode of “Oh…You Didn’t Know,” James named the Bloodline Civil War from WWE Money in the Bank 2023 as his favorite match so far. He said,
“I gotta say The Usos versus Roman [Reigns] and Solo [Sikoa]. It was. To me, it’s the best story. It’s the best build to that story … I’m just all invested emotionally into that story.”
James, who comes from a wrestling bloodline himself, said that Jey Uso being the first person to pin Roman Reigns in over three years “paid off in a big way.”
On last week’s SmackDown, Jey challenged his cousin to an Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match at Summerslam.
