WWE’s ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso is feeling the strain of his headline status, his father and WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi has revealed.
During a recent episode of his podcast, “Off the Top,” Rikishi detailed a recent encounter with his son. He described Jey as appearing weary and exhausted.
“He simply appeared overworked. He’s on the run constantly. While others are returning home, he’s doing extra work out on the road. This is the burden of headlining any pay-per-view, especially the grandest of them all, WrestleMania,” Rikishi explained.
When asking his son about his wellbeing, Jey responded positively. The former Intercontinental Champion was then offered some words of wisdom by his father,
“‘Alright, savor the journey. Embrace the moment. This is what you’ve always wanted and you must do what is required. This is your time,'” Rikishi advised.
Jey secured a win in the 2025 men’s Royal Rumble match, eliminating John Cena in a thrilling climax. He will now face World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER at WrestleMania 41.
