While speaking on a recent episode of his podcast, “Rikishi Fatu Off The Top,” Rikishi talked about the state of The Bloodline.
The WWE Hall of Famer believes that after WrestleMania XL, where Roman Reigns lost the Undisputed WWE Title to Cody Rhodes, it’s just a matter of time before The Rock turns on Reigns.
“I think The Bloodline’s gonna kinda take a backseat for a minute, recoup for a minute. We do have other players that are lined up to able to come through. But again, The Bloodline will always be there. It just has to be the right angle, the right storyline. Who knows? I’m gonna go out and just throw this out there. I kinda see a WarGames. I kinda see somewhere down there The Rock turning on Roman Reigns. Rock becomes the heel, Roman comes back as a babyface. I kinda see The Bloodline family members spread up and take sides, and then I kind of see something huge as far as WarGames or some type of gimmick match, amongst each other. They would probably want to build that up for the next WrestleMania. To have that type of match being put together, it’d be nice to see that happen in the west coast because a lot our Polynesian culture, the west coast is island. Nothing but island people that are out here. Samoan, Tongan, you name it, a bunch of Polynesians, Hawaiian. So to be able to come out here and showcase that match in front of our people would be great.”
The State of The Bloodline: Rikishi Predicts a Rock vs. Reigns Showdown
In a recent episode of his podcast, “Rikishi Fatu Off The Top,” WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi discussed the current state of The Bloodline and made an intriguing prediction about its future. Rikishi believes that after WrestleMania XL, where Roman Reigns lost the Undisputed WWE Title to Cody Rhodes, it is only a matter of time before The Rock turns on Reigns.
The Bloodline, consisting of Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso, has been a dominant force in WWE for quite some time. Led by Reigns, who has established himself as one of the top heels in the company, The Bloodline has been virtually unstoppable. However, Rikishi suggests that a major shift is on the horizon.
“I think The Bloodline’s gonna kinda take a backseat for a minute, recoup for a minute,” Rikishi stated. “We do have other players that are lined up to be able to come through. But again, The Bloodline will always be there. It just has to be the right angle, the right storyline.”
Rikishi’s prediction involves a potential turning point for The Bloodline, with The Rock betraying Reigns and becoming the new heel. This would pave the way for Reigns to make a triumphant return as a babyface, garnering support from the WWE Universe. Rikishi envisions the other members of The Bloodline taking sides, leading to a massive showdown in the form of a WarGames or some type of gimmick match.
To make this dream match even more special, Rikishi suggests that it should take place on the west coast, where there is a significant Polynesian population. With many Samoan, Tongan, and other Polynesian communities residing on the west coast, Rikishi believes that showcasing this match in front of their people would be a remarkable experience.
The idea of The Rock and Roman Reigns facing off in a high-stakes match is undoubtedly tantalizing for wrestling fans. Both men come from a legendary Samoan wrestling lineage, with The Rock being Reigns’ real-life cousin. Their clash would not only be a battle for supremacy but also a testament to their shared heritage.
While Rikishi’s prediction is purely speculative at this point, it raises exciting possibilities for the future of The Bloodline and the WWE landscape as a whole. The potential storyline could captivate audiences and create a memorable moment in wrestling history.
As fans eagerly await the unfolding of events, one thing is certain: The Bloodline will continue to be a force to be reckoned with in WWE. Whether it’s through the predicted Rock vs. Reigns showdown or other compelling storylines, The Bloodline’s dominance is far from over.
