On the latest episode of his “Off The Top” podcast, Rikishi gave his insights on the six-man Hell in a Cell match held at the Armageddon 2000 pay-per-view event. The podcast features key takeaways on the following subjects:

Discussing the six-man Hell in a Cell match, Rikishi reflects, “Undoubtedly, my faith rests in Taker. It’s just something you prepare for. Sharing the ring with some of the industry’s greatest during that phase of my career was an honor. We’re talking about Taker, Triple H, Kurt Angle, The Rock, Stone Cold. It was a career highlight to be out there with these legends. I consider myself fortunate to have been part of it.”

Touching on the chokeslam spot, Rikishi reveals, “I was aware that I wasn’t part of the final sequence. So, when considering how Kishi can exit the scene without being lost in the finish, which I believe Kurt Angle dominated, I was filled with nervous energy. The 20,000 screaming fans fueled my adrenaline. I was apprehensive, even reconsidered taking the bump. During the walkthrough, the flatbed had no railings. However, for the live show, it was restructured with aluminum rails.

“I was rattled, unsure whether to take the bump, praying I’d hit the correct spot since there was zero room for errors. Overstepping even slightly could leave you badly injured. I said the quickest prayer of my life, overcame my fear of taking the bump, and decided to follow through with the spot, which ‘stole the match’. After surviving the bump, I felt relieved. In hindsight – a mixed experience – the downside was taking the bump, but on the bright side, it paid off my house for my kids.”
