In a recent episode of his podcast, “Off the Top”, former wrestler Rikishi provided his observations on Jacob Fatu’s WWE journey, revealing his unease about the swift advancement of his career. Fatu, who landed within the WWE sphere last summer, already boasts a tag team championship to his name.
Rikishi, however, cautioned, “Well, I’m not taken aback by it. Although, in all honesty, I am of the opinion that Jacob’s ascent is rather rapid. Contemplating his match with Cody, who is undisputedly the one ruling the roost at present, one wonders where to from here. It’s my belief that Jacob should storm through the entire lineup, receiving additional enhancement matches that will aid in consolidating him. Has anything changed during the course of his time on the scene? Showcasing a fighter’s talent should be prioritized. Allow him to display his capabilities in a typical match or a squash match. I haven’t turned on my TV since I was abroad. But the way these bouts are being established, it does seem like they’re trying to make him a top-tier wrestler. In response to that, I would say that putting him against Cody is hasty and perhaps ill-advised.”
In a similar vein, on the “Insight” podcast, WWE superstar Otis shared his personal experiences regarding the strongest figures he has worked with in the WWE realm. Otis himself boasts impressive strength, having benched 225 pounds for an impressive 46 repetitions at the NXT combine.
Rikishi gave his own take, noting, “Quite obviously, Bobby Lashley is a powerhouse. I’ve often compared it to clutching a stone when you grapple with him. Then we have Big E, another monumentally powerful wrestler. Also worth mentioning is Braun Strowman with his impressively strong grip. Breakker, as well, is an unstoppable force. I remember watching this kid in Orlando during his training session for 45 minutes straight without a break. Quite simply, the kid’s a gem.”
