Rikishi Comments On His Son Samson Fatu Possibly Getting Into Wrestling

Rikishi, WWE Hall of Fame inductee, recently speculated about his youngest son, Samson Fatu’s potential future in wrestling on his podcast “Off The Top”.

Highlighted below are some of the key moments from the podcast:

Regarding Samson Fatu: “Samson is deeply committed. He’s determined to create a unique path for himself. The picture being referred to was taken in a suite, with Samson looking down at the ring. He had the opportunity to observe the audience’s reaction. I was educating him in the same way I have with all my students at KnokX Pro – about learning to understand the timing, the emotions, and gauging how they affect the audience. Teaching him about the longevity in the ring, when to take a bump and when not to, and how to engage fans.”

His advice to his son: “He always understood this perspective, but watching it live prompted more questions. My advice to him was that wrestling will always be here. His primary focus should be on football, his college education, and his future. Life continues beyond athletics and sports, for all of us.”

On Samson’s aspiration to become a millionaire: “His dream, and mine too, is for him to become a millionaire before he secures a place in the NFL, and the opportunities available with NIL for college students definitely make that a reality. He does seem slightly interested, but I have no concerns, as he has been around this profession since he was just five years old. Regardless of whether he chooses wrestling or sports, I am sure he will go a long way in life.”
