AEW superstar Ricochet recently appeared on “The Wrestling Classic” podcast where he shared his thoughts regarding his fiancée, Samantha Irvin, and her potential career in wrestling. According to Ricochet, Samantha has no interest in announcing or wrestling, but would like to develop a character or engage in a storyline.

Ricochet dismissed the idea of Samantha serving as a guest ring announcer for one of his matches. He said, “Probably not, I would say no. I wouldn’t even want her to do that. She just doesn’t want to announce people’s names, whether it’s for boxing, UFC, NFL, or basketball.”

However, he suggested she would enjoy being involved in wrestling in a different way — “She still would love to be a character. She still would love to be in a story, she would love to make the fans feel emotions.”

In another recent podcast appearance, former TNA World Champion Josh Alexander announced his impending free agency status during an “Insight” podcast. During this conversation, he reflected on his time with TNA, future prospects, and his take on wrestling in general.

Regarding his free agent status, he said, “February 15th I’ll be a free agent. So yeah, heading into free agency for the first time. [I’m] equal parts nervous, equal parts excited.”

Alexander also discussed his future plans, expressing excitement about the potential opportunities. He said, “I’m watching the product, looking at NXT, Dynamite, and everywhere right now. One wrestler that’s still out there wrestling that I would really love to get a chance to wrestle is Edge. He’s in AEW.”

Recalling his short stint as TNA World Champion, Josh revealed mixed emotions. “I remember the day I got to my hotel room and I checked Twitter. People are posting clips of the match and then they’re just hammering TNA for this terrible booking decision. ‘We’re back to the Vince Russo era’, all this stuff, and I’m just reading just like this is kind of nice, because I guess they wanted me to be champion.”

Further, he acknowledged an amusing parody song by Joe Hendry. While initially unaware of the song’s topic, Alexander admitted that he enjoyed the lighthearted jab. “I watched it live, and I’m just like, holding back like this son of a b**ch. [You kept a straight face] Yeah, it was tough. The Kurt Angle from Wish line, that was exceptional!” he commented.
