Ricky Starks has utilized his social media platform to respond to rumors of his purported arrest. Gossip has been spreading in connection to a supposed arrest in Canada in the previous year, allegedly causing friction between Starks and AEW.
It was insinuated in an unconfirmed Reddit thread that Starks was taken into custody following a drunken dispute in Calgary after winning the Owen Hart Cup. It was also alleged that Starks turned down potential show ideas.
Starks decided to address these rumors by sharing an image of himself next to a police car on his Instagram story. The image was humorously accompanied by the song “Sound of da Police” by KRS-One, hinting at the arrest chatter.
In earlier reports, these arrest rumors were dismissed as baseless, with both AEW and Starks denying the allegations brought against them.
Following the episode of AEW Collision aired on March 30th, Starks has not appeared on AEW TV.
