Ricky Starks Debuts In AEW, Loses TNT Title Match To Cody Rhodes

Former NWA TV Champion Ricky Starks accepted Cody Rhodes’ open challenge for his AEW TNT Championship.

Starks looked great early on and got in quite a bit of offense against Rhodes. However, the champ wasn’t about to go away without a fight. Starks would almost shock the world after hitting a big spear on Rhodes, but he wasn’t able to keep him down for a three count. However, Starks’ aspirations would end after Cody hit a Cross-Rhodes for the win.

With the win, Rhodes will face off against Jake Hager at AEW Fyter Fest.
