During a recent guest appearance on the “Muscle Memory” podcast, NXT North American Champion, Ricky Saints, openly expressed his readiness to take on and defend his title against any WWE wrestler, irrespective of the brand they represent.
In April, Saints emerged victorious in his match against Shawn Spears, securing his title as the NXT North American Champion. Saints is set to defend his title next week on WWE NXT against Ethan Page. During the podcast, Saints stated,
“I will say this, the current roster that we have from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT, each brand perks my interest in some way, right? And so I think it would be great to defend this title against anybody from those brands in itself.”
This week on NXT, Sean Legacy accomplished a significant victory, putting down Je’Von Evans and Ashante Thee Adonis. Following this match, Legacy has earned a chance at the NXT North American Championship.
In an exclusive WWE digital interview, Legacy expressed his thoughts post-victory, saying,
“Eight long years, eight long years in the making. A couple months ago, I became one of the first ever WWE ID prospects. I am killing it on the indies, I am killing it in Evolve. Two weeks ago, I came up short in the battle royal, but I was the final five, but that doesn’t matter. But what does matter is today, right now. Je’Von Evans, future NXT champion, that boy is bouncy, and Ashante, somebody that has been here for a while, somebody that’s kicking the door down and getting his opportunity. But guess what? Guess who got the job done? I did. Now it is my turn to start my legacy. Everybody will remember the name Sean Legacy. I started as a nobody and man, I just now became a somebody. That is that Sean Legacy will always be super.”
Post his victory, a tweet from WWE NXT highlighted Sean Legacy’s determination and hinted at a bright future for the wrestler.
