Rich Swann and Sami Callihan met in the main event of tonight’s Turning Point pay-per-view, where Swann was looking to retain his hold on the IMPACT World Championship. In a stellar match between the two superstars, Swann was able to defend his title, taking down an incredibly resilient Callihan to stay champion.
The match, which saw both superstars finally clash after feuding for some time, was a brutal one, as both Swann and Callihan were going all out from the start. Late in the match, it looked as if Callihan had the upper hand, as he delivered a nasty piledriver onto Swann, but the champion wouldn’t be pinned no matter what. Towards the end of the match, both superstars made it back into the ring after brawling outside of it, and chaos broke out. Ken Shamrock came running down to ringside, but was stopped by Eddie Edwards, who also came running down to stop Shamrock. Inside the ring, Swann was able to end things by landing multiple superkicks to Callihan, which was finally enough to drop Callihan and give Swann a well-earned title defense.
