Ric Flair has said he regrets parting ways with the WWF and returning to WCW in 1993.

In late 1991, Flair joined the WWF (while still the WCW World Champion) and was promoted by Bobby Heenan and himself as ‘the real World’s Champion.’

Flair’s tenure with the company was brief, as little over a year after debuting, he would leave the promotion in January 1993.

On the most recent episode of “To Be The Man,” Flair reflected on leaving Vince McMahon’s promotion. He said,

“I would’ve been in a demoted role. Vince came up to me and said, ‘Watch your back.’”

Flair added that there is part of him that wishes he had stayed with McMahon instead of returning to WCW. He said,

“I almost wish I’d stayed because [WCW] was such a disaster when I got back.”

Flair would not return to the WWF until November 2001 following the collapse of WCW in March of that year.
