Legendary wrestler Ric Flair is grappling with the tragic loss of his stepson, Sebastian Kidder. Kidder, who was only 24 years old, was reported to have sadly taken his own life over the past weekend. This heartbreaking news was made public by Wendy Barlow, the mother of the late Sebastian Kidder and enduring partner of Flair.
As a heartbreaking reality of young men’s mental health, Barlow bemoaned, “I am devastated and shocked,” she shared with the news agency. “This is an epidemic with your young men. And mental health…”
As an upcoming musician, Kidder had released his inaugural album, “Under the Moon,” in the latter summer. Flair had played a significant part in nurturing Kidder during his years-long liaison with Barlow. This heart-wrenching event also brings back the sadness of Flair’s son Reid’s untimely death from an overdose.
Flair voiced his sorrow on his Twitter handle, “I Have Spent Hours Wondering What To Say. After Hearing The News Of Sebastian’s Passing, I Can Only Imagine What Wendy & Paul Are Going Through Having Lost A Son Approximately The Same Age In 2013. I Know The Pain Of Your Loss Will Be With You The Rest Of Your Life. I Still Every Day Of My Life Think About Reid As You Will Continue To Think About Sebastian…,” his mournful message read.
Flair’s daughter, Charlotte Flair, wrestler, and multiple times WWE champion, also tweeted, expressing her grief.
