The Nature Boy made his way to the ring to a huge ovation, hugging Sting and Schiavone as the Philadelphia crowd chanted “holy sh*t.” Flair then cut a promo where he put over Sting and said he wanted to be a part of his retirement tour if he’d allow him to do so. The Stinger agreed, which led to Ric Flair jokingly chopping Sting.
Christian Cage eventually wound up interrupting to set up a six-man tag team match for AEW Full Gear 2023. Cage talked about Flair “being dead 20 years ago.” Cage also told Sting that he and Darby Allin will need to find a partner to face him, Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus. It appears that partner will be Edge.
