Ric Flair Believes Cody Rhodes Will Defeat John Cena, WWE Files Trademark For SnackDown

In a recent conversation on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Ric Flair suggested that Cody Rhodes would be his pick for winning over John Cena and keeping the WWE Undisputed Championship at WrestleMania 41.

The Nature Boy shared his thoughts about the American Nightmare continuing his reign. He mentioned,

“Cody should retain because he’s on a roll. To be honest with you, I don’t think John wants to retire with the title. John’s a company guy. He wants what’s best for business. And I’ll tell you, I was sitting on the edge of my seat, literally watching the stuff with [Jey] Uso and John at the Royal Rumble because I thought, ‘Damn it, they’re going to do it, John’s going to win the Royal Rumble’ and then da, da, da, and then it becomes automatic.”

He further expressed, “But I love it, I’m happy for everybody. It’s going to be a great show.”

On a related note, there has been an interesting update from WWE. The company has made a move to register a trademark for “SnackDown.” This development comes after the recent tie-up announcement with Drumstick to be the WrestleMania 41’s sponsor. Their catchy slogan for it is “Get ready for the ultimate Snackdown!”

The official trademark definition offered by the company is outlined below:

“Candy bars; Frozen foods, namely, grain and bread based appetizers, hors d’oeuvres, and canapés; Processed popcorn; Processed cereals; Cones for ice cream; Candy; Bakery goods and dessert items, namely, cakes, cookies, pastries, candies, and frozen confections for retail and wholesale distribution and consumption on or off the premises; Ice cream sandwiches; Ice cream bars; Pretzel chips; Pastries; Ice milk; Bakery desserts; Microwave popcorn; Donuts; Frozen flavoured waters; Ice creams; Ice-cream; Frozen confections; Snack mix consisting primarily of crackers, pretzels and/or popped popcorn; Frozen confections, namely, ices; Ice cream desserts; Candies; Sweets; Hard candies; Prepared coffee and coffee-based beverages; Cookies; Waffle cones; Cookies and crackers; Frozen-yogurt-based snack foods; Pizza; Confectionery, namely, candy and chocolate; Cakes; Rice crackers; Noodles; Hot chocolate; Ice cream; Ice cream drinks; Kits comprised of ingredients for making ice cream; Ices and ice creams; Chocolate”
