Rhea Ripley did the unthinkable at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas as The Judgment Day member outlasted 29 Superstars to win the 2023 WWE Women’s Royal Rumble match and punch her ticket to the marquee women’s title match at WrestleMania 39.

Ripley not only emerged as the winner of the sixth annual women’s Royal Rumble match but also set many records in the process. Ripley became the first woman to enter the match at #1 and win the whole showdown. Liv Morgan, who entered the match at #2, lasted the entire match with Ripley before getting eliminated by The Nightmare.

The three finalists were Ripley, Morgan, and Asuka. Asuka hit Morgan with the green mist on the apron, but Ripley was quick to eliminate The Empress. Despite being blinded by Asuka, Morgan made one last attempt for a comeback but Ripley hung onto the ropes. The Judgment Day member eliminated Morgan with head-scissors to win the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble bout. Ripley and Morgan each set the record for the most time spent by any female Superstar in a Rumble match.

The 30-Woman Royal Rumble match also witnessed the iconic returns of Chelsea Green, Piper Niven [formerly Doudrop], and Nia Jax.

Jax entered at #30 but was eliminated after multiple women ganged up on her. Green recorded the fastest elimination in the women’s Rumble of all time, breaking Morgan’s previous record of 8 seconds.

WWE legend Michelle McCool made a surprise appearance during the Royal Rumble match. She was accompanied by her family in the audience. McCool entered the match from the crowd to a huge pop.
