In another Twitter engagement, Kairi Sane, a member of Damage CTRL, revealed the backstory behind her moniker, “Pirate Princess”. She explained the nickname’s roots, stating,
“During my university years, I happened to win a sailing race and was chosen as the representative of Japan at the World Championships. Thus, I acquired the nickname “Pirate Princess.” The snapshot depicts the Bulgarian marine landscape.”
