During a recent interaction with Graham “GSM” Matthews from Bleacher Report, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio expressed his thoughts about the possibility of a WWE PLE happening in Mexico in the near future.
His thoughts follow Santos Escobar’s previous comments stating that Mexico was prepared for such an event. Rey Mysterio conveyed,
“I’m hopeful that such a thing will occur over the next three years. I genuinely believe that my people are deserving of something as extraordinary as a PLE. My expectations are high. We have a huge facility there, the Estadio Azteca, which I understand is undergoing renovations this year. I predict the fans would be ecstatic. Mexico has always boasted a fantastic fan base for wrestling, so what could be more perfect than recognizing this with the WWE hosting a special event like a PLE there?”
