During a Friday night TNA Wrestling taping for the forthcoming TNA Impact shows on AXS TV, a series of matches were captured. These included Frankie Kazarian triumphing over Bhupinder Gujjar, Masha Slamovich beating Dani Luna and Hammerstone overcoming Eric Young, with Steve Maclin providing commentary and interacting with Young during the match.
Promo cutters The System and JDC made appearances, with Alisha expressing her frustration over critics calling the System unsuccessful. Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers pledged to recapture the TNA World Tag Titles, blaming their Slammiversary losses on luck. Mike Santana, referred to as a dog by Moose, was challenged to a match, where Moose threatened to give him the Ol’ Yeller treatment.
Santino and Mike Bailey were seen backstage discussing Ultimate X’s return. In the Ultimate X Qualifying Match, Mike Bailey defeated Trent Seven and Jake Something. KUSHIDA emerged victorious over Jonathan Gresham. In the TNA Knockouts Open Challenge, Jordynne Grace and Rosemary’s match was abruptly ended when Ash by Elegance attacked them both.
Josh Alexander took the spotlight to criticize the fans’ changing attitudes towards him and denounce Joe Hendry as a meme rather than a wrestler. During his speech, Nemeth entered the ring and attacked Alexander. Then, he promised to defend his title in the next week’s match.
This was followed by Ultimate X Qualifying Match, where Zachary Wentz defeated KC Navarro and Dante Chen. Hendry emerged victorious over Wolfgang and then cut a promo about Gallus’ prior attack during the previous week.
Rhino and Sami Callihan were seen winning their match against First Class. Steve Maclin defeated Xyon Quinn, Xia Brookside was victorious over Mila Moore, and Riley Osbourne won the Ultimate X Qualifying Match against Chris Bey and John Skyler.
Gisele Shaw came out as the winner in her match against Tasha Steelz. After Mike Santana was assaulted by The System backstage, Moose defeated Santana in a match which ended in further onslaught by The System until Joe Hendry intervened with a chair. Hendry also dropped the hint of a forthcoming match featuring two opponents of The System against JDC and Moose.
In the TNA World Championship Match, Nic Nemeth and Josh Alexander ended in a tie after a 30 minute battle. Nemeth requested five more minutes but was attacked by Alexander. Kazarian challenged Nemeth, but was fended off by PCO and Steph DeLander.
