During a special event on Wednesday, All Elite Wrestling not only showcased their AEW Dynamite, but also held tapings for the forthcoming AEW Collision set to air on June 29th.
The details of the matches and segments filmed during these tapings were shared by spectators present at the venue. These include the following:
DARK MATCH:
The spectators witnessed EJ Nduka secure a victory over Marcus Mathers.
SPOILERS FOR AEW COLLISION FOR 6/29/2024:
The highlights of the upcoming sequence include Serena Deeb emerging victorious over Kelly Madden in what has been referred to as a ‘squash’. Interestingly, post-match, Riho faced off with Deeb.
In another turn of events, Tomohiro Ishii and Orange Cassidy defeated duo TMDK – comprised of Shane Haste and Robbie Eagles. Next, Stephanie Vaquer claimed her win over Lady Frost, crucially locking eyes with Mercedes Mone after the bout.
As detailed by Twitter user @johnrclark12, Chris Jericho was seen delivering a discourse on zambonis. However, the session took a turn when Samoa Joe, Hook and Katsuyori Shibata launched an attack on him, halted by Jeff Cobb who burst forth to aid The Learning Tree. This seems to suggest Cobb as the likely replacement for Bryan Keith at Forbidden Door.
In further matches, Hechichero ousted Kevin Blackwood, followed by Daniel Garcia clinching a win over The Butcher, and Hikaru Shida’s triumph over Deonna Purrazzo. Post-match, Purrazzo launched an attack on Shida, thwarted by Thunder Rosa who came to the rescue.
The event also saw Jack Perry, El Phantasmo, and Konosuke Takeshita defeat Mark Briscoe, Dante Martin, and Lio Rush. In an unexpected twist, Briscoe cleared the field by dramatically diving off a ladder post-match.
Additionally, Pince Nana officiated a weigh-in between Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay, escalating into a scuffle which ended with Ospreay in a dominant stance.
