Highlights of WWE RAW (6/17/2024)
The show returned with Seth Rollins as the host of Monday Night RAW, who hinted that he would use the Money In The Bank concept as a shortcut to reclaim the World Championship. World Championship, Damian Priest, made a gracious entry, welcoming Rollins back to his show.
The kind of champion Damian Priest wanted to be was questioned by Rollins. With a determination to defend his title against Rollins at the Money In The Bank event, Damian expressed his views. Seth Rollins, on the other hand, issued a warning saying the show will always remain as Monday Night Rollins as long as he’s there.
Backstage, Chad Gable was seen pleading with Adam Pearce for another chance at Sami Zayn, but it wasn’t that straightforward. He was reminded that he had to earn his way back into the picture.
#1. Chad Gable (w/ Alpha Academy) vs. Braun Strowman – Winner: Braun Strowman
Chad Gable’s mistreatment of the Alpha Academy continued as he antagonized Maxxine Dupri’s crutch and Tozawa. This infuriated Otis, leading him to react aggressively, abandoning the Alpha Academy attire, and deserting the ring with his friends.
Pat McAfee narrated the story of Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio’s feud from the previous week and Finn Balor’s subsequent concerned actions.
Attention shifted to the Judgment Day scenario. Balor elaborated on his intentions to safeguard Dominik, preparing to face Mysterio later that night.
#2. [Money In The Bank Qualifier] Kiana James vs. Iyo Sky vs. Zelina Vega – Winner: Iyo Sky
Sami Zayn entered the arena, announcing the end of his rivalry with Chad Gable and expressing his sympathy for the Alpha Academy. He hinted at moving forward and focusing on defending his Intercontinental Championship. This was followed by an unexpected entry from Bron Breakker!
Breakker made his intentions clear: he was prepared to claim the Intercontinental Championship. In the midst of this intense situation, Sheamus interrupted, expressing his interest in obtaining the title. As the arguments heightened, Sami Zayn decided to discuss the matter further with Adam Pearce backstage.
