The NJPW Resurgence 2024 event unfolded with enthralling matches on Saturday evening, hosted at Toyota Arena, Ontario, California. Here’s a detailed roundup of the results from the engaging wrestling show:

The first highlight of the evening was the STRONG Survivor Match. Matt Vandagriff emerged victorious after a gripping match with Adrian Quest. In another standout faceoff, Mustafa Ali triumphed over Lio Rush, showcasing immense talent and strength.

In a powerful showdown involving EVIL, Jack Perry & Ren Narita against Rocky Romero, Tomohiro Ishii & The DKC, the former team clinched the win. Subsequently, the wrestling pair Fred Rosser & Tom Lawlor were defeated by The West Coast Wrecking Crew.

In a sensational turn of events, the NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championship saw Guerrillas Of Destiny win the title against TMDK. The NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship was captured by Stephanie Vaquer after a pulsating match against Alex Windsor.

Further intensifying the excitement were Yota Tsuji & Tetsuya Naito, who gained the upper hand against David Finlay & KENTA. The evening also witnessed Zack Sabre Jr.’s impressive victory over Hiroshi Tanahashi.

In the NJPW World TV Championship Match, Jeff Cobb took the win against Lance Archer, with Tomohiro Ishii making a surprise appearance. Immediately after Cobb’s win, Ishii proclaimed himself as Cobb’s forthcoming challenger.

The tension escalated when HENARE expressed his desire to challenge the victor of the next match. In the NEVER Openweight Championship Match, Yuya Uemura met his defeat at the hands of Shingo Takagi.

The NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship No-Rope Last Man Standing Match saw Gabe Kidd clinch victory over Eddie Kingston. In a surprise twist, Jack Perry faked an attack on the defeated wrestler, only for the Young Bucks to ambush Kingston instead. The wrestling duo pinned Kingston and challenged him to a match at Forbidden Door, finishing their attack with an EVP Trigger.

Rounding off the fabulous evening, the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship Match had Jon Moxley defeat Shota Umino. Post the match, EVIL attacked Moxley and announced his intention to challenge for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. This led to EVIL & Ren Narita carrying out a beatdown on Moxley and Umino.

It was further revealed that a US version of the CMLL X NJPW FantasticaMania event is scheduled for July 13 in San Jose.
