New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) recently held the third night of the 2024 New Japan Cup, featuring several exciting first-round matches in Yamanashi, Japan. The event showcased the incredible talent and athleticism of the wrestlers, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the rest of the tournament.
The show kicked off with a thrilling eight-man tag team match. Ryusuke Taguchi, YOSHI-HASHI, Tomohiro Ishii, and Hirooki Goto faced off against Gedo, Chase Owens, KENTA, and David Finlay. In an action-packed encounter, Taguchi’s team emerged victorious, displaying their teamwork and skill.

In an exciting eight-man tag team match, Jeff Cobb, Great-O-Khan, TJP, and Francesco Akira clashed with BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi, Yota Tsuji, and Tetsuya Naito. The match was filled with high-flying maneuvers and intense action, ultimately resulting in Cobb, Great-O-Khan, TJP, and Akira emerging victorious.
The highlight of the night was the New Japan Cup first-round matches. Hikuleo faced off against Boltin Oleg in a hard-hitting encounter. Hikuleo’s power and agility proved too much for Oleg, securing him a spot in the next round.
