Christian Cage kicked off the episode by entering the ring, and conveying that their goal last week to emerge as the new Trios Champions has been achieved. His intention is to leverage these titles as stepping stones to the World Championship. Making it clear that what they’ve earned is not a belt but a title. He will be giving The Patriarchy their championship titles.
Christian shared his pride for his son, Nick Wayne, who has now claimed the record for being the youngest champion in AEW history. He passed the Trios Championship title to Wayne and appreciated Killswitch for being a significant contributor to their victories. However, the celebration was cut short by the interruption from the House Of Black.
Christian stated that without being a trio, House Of Black cannot be the #1 contenders. Responding to their presence, Christian offered advice, suggesting they need to improve before challenging the likes of the Bang Bang Gang. Shortly after, Malakai Black’s act brought in Buddy Matthews. The Patriarchy made an escape, but they were stopped short by the Bang Bang Gang who forced Nick Wayne back into the ring. Wayne was overpowered by House Of Black, with Christian Cage and Mother Wayne watching helplessly.
