On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE may be looking at Roman Reigns defending the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against John Cena at Crown Jewel next month in Saudi Arabia.
Cena has been entangled in a feud with The Bloodline since his WWE return at the start of September, courtesy of the SAG-AFTRA strike. Reigns, meanwhile, has reportedly been dealing with an injury, although he is seldom seen on TV anyway owing to his part-time schedule.
Cena, besides working WWE Superstar Spectacle in India, has been on Friday Night SmackDown every week and is advertised all episodes until Crown Jewel at the very least. Meanwhile, Reigns will return to the blue brand on next week’s episode.
