Reported Terms Of Edge’s WWE Deal, How Often He’ll Appear On TV And Wrestle
Edge‘s return to WWE at the Royal Rumble has been the talk of the wrestling world and now we have a few more details as far as how long and how often we can expect to see him on WWE TV.
Over the course of the weekend, WrestleZone had received word from sources regarding details surrounding Edge’s deal with WWE and what led to him coming back “home.” Today, Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT confirmed our report that Edge had been in talks with All Elite Wrestling, also stating the “Rated R Superstar” wasn’t actively trying to sign with AEW and really used it as leverage for a WWE deal.
According to McCarthy, Edge’s new WWE deal is for three years, coinciding with what WrestleVotes reported initially on Twitter. The value of the contract is reported to be at $3 million per year, and Edge will be paid in full of his contract as long as he does three matches minimum every year. He is said to be committed to five matches this year, with the first one being his 2020 Royal Rumble appearance, and he’s scheduled to make more 25 appearances on WWE TV.
