Report: WWE Fastlane PPV Returning In 2021
WWE is getting back in the Fastlane.
WWE Fastlane will return to the company’s pay-per-view schedule in 2021, as PWInsider.com reports the event theme is back on the schedule for the first time since 2019. After a year off, Fastlane will reportedly take place on March 21 from the WWE ThunderDome, currently taking up residency at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Fastlane initially ran as an annual event between 2015-2019; the last edition of the show took place on March 10, 2019 in Cleveland, Ohio at the Quicken Loans Arena, with The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns) vs. Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, and Drew McIntyre in a six-man tag team match main event.
This weekend, PWInsider also reported WWE Elimination Chamber would be moving up a week; the following events are currently confirmed for the WWE and NXT special event calendar:
- January 31 – Royal Rumble (WWE ThunderDome)
- February 14 – NXT Takeover (Capitol Wrestling Center)
- February 21 – Elimination Chamber (WWE ThunderDome)
- March 21 – Fastlane (WWE ThunderDome)
- April 10, 11 – WrestleMania 37 (Raymond James Stadium, Tampa)
Along with the WrestleMania 37 venue announcement, WWE also confirmed host cities for WrestleMania 38 and 39.
