There are anticipated plans that will be revealed soon about an incoming television agreement between All Elite Wrestling and Warner Bros. Discovery, according to information from reliable sources.
The leading media publication, Puck, has confirmed that WBD’s collaboration with AEW is nearing its completion, with a public pronouncement forthcoming potentially within the upcoming week, unless unforeseen problems arise. It’s noteworthy to mention that AEW is scheduled to be in New York City next week for their principal Grand Slam TV tapings and it’s projected that delegates from WBD will be present at these TV tapings.
The specific details of the agreement outline a contract for three years with an optional fourth year. Included in the agreement are shows appearing on TNT, TBS, and TruTV. It’s detailed that the broadcasts would show “twice a week,” albeit without any more elaboration. Also, it’s stipulated that an estimated 0 million annually is “in the ballpark” when it comes to cost.
Moreover, it was disclosed that “AEW is also pitching another package, predominantly to broadcast channels.”
As we’ve previously reported here on eWn, there’s been ongoing dialogue between AEW and FOX regarding a new program, which some speculate may involve the recently trademarked AEW Shockwave.
