Cody Rhodes, a prominent figure in the WWE, recently suffered an injury during the WWE Elimination Chamber event held in Toronto. This unanticipated incident happened after Travis Scott made a genuine strike to his head.

Following the incident, multiple reports surfaced indicating that Rhodes had a ruptured eardrum and a black eye due to the blow.

However, in a recent episode of the “83 Weeks” podcast, Conrad Thompson, while clearing the air surrounding the incident, disclosed that Rhodes had texted him saying that Scott had not physically made contact with him.

Thompson shared, “I saw the report earlier this week, I checked on Cody and I was like, ‘Dude, I saw it, but a burst eardrum? Are you okay, holy s*it.’ He replied, ‘Didn’t touch me, I got a wild bruise somehow though’ and sent me a picture. I said, ‘Well damn, I’m glad you’re okay mostly.’ He jokingly said, ‘The horsemen got me.’ I just thought it was funny that Cody even now is like, ‘Ah, he didn’t touch me.’ Now of course we know, that’s not the case, he’s sporting a major black eye right now. I don’t know if it’s true or not that he burst his ear drum but buddy, it is a brutal blow that we saw there.”

Following is an embedded video of reactions to the John Cena heel turn. Further updates on Rhodes’ condition will be provided as more information becomes available.
