The reigning IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, Kevin Knight, is approaching the termination of his contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). The agreement is due to conclude in the near future.

Fightful Select has reported that NJPW is set on keeping Knight on their roster, and will begin contract discussions imminently. Knight’s contractual situation has piqued the interest of major US wrestling organizations, who are believed to be contemplating his future trajectory.

Knight has already made his presence known in TNA Wrestling earlier in the year, where he received high commendations from both TNA and NJPW professionals.

Additionally, Knight is scheduled to defend his IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships at Wrestle Kingdom 18, slated for January 4. Alongside his partner, Kushida, they will face off with the Ichiban Sweet Boys, Catch 2/2, and the Bullet Club War Dogs in a Four-Way Tokyo Terror Ladder Match.
