Report: Top NJPW Star’s Contract Expires In January

New Japan Pro-Wrestling NJPW President Harold Meij

Juice Robinson’s contract with New Japan Pro-Wrestling is set to expire soon, according to a recent report from Fightful Select.

Robinson, who is currently performing with both NJPW and IMPACT Wrestling, signed a multi-year deal with NJPW in 2019, and he has become one of the leading performers on the NJPW STRONG brand. During this time, he has also continued to compete overseas. The report mentions that Robinson’s deal is set to expire in January 2022, so there are less three months remaining on the contract.

It’s unclear at the moment if Robinson is in talks to extend his time with NJPW, but he will likely be a huge draw if he enters free agency. Fightful Select notes that Robinson is expected to get “multiple offers” with his looming contract expiration. Robinson has thrived in both NJPW and IMPACT; he is a former IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champion, IWGP Tag Team Champion, and IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion.

WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
