As we previously shared on eWn, an ongoing collaboration agreement, which will commence in 2025, has been inked between TNA Wrestling and Sportsnet in Canada. Dave Meltzer, in a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, took note that initial discussions between AEW and Sportsnet didn’t come to fruition.
As a result, TSN and the Canadian version of the USA Network will now be airing AEW. Meltzer observed, “[SportsNet] would say they went with TNA, AEW would say they got a better deal to stay with TSN and USA Network, so — USA Network in Canada, not to be confused with USA Network in the United States, even though they have a lot of similar programming — so, that’s what occurred there. Right now, aside from a few minor stations globally that WWE has exited, the only significant one left is with the deal in India. But the deal in India truly is the grand one, in fact, in terms of financials, WWE’s deal with Ten — that agreement is the most financially rewarding television deal worldwide, excluding any American deal.”
Meltzer also hinted that WWE would soon terminate its contract with Ten in India, possibly paving way for AEW or another wrestling organization to take over that place.
